Jason is a Quality Improvement Consultant working on several patient-safety related projects, including focusing on reducing healthcare-associated infections and improving antimicrobial stewardship across various healthcare settings.

Before joining Qualis Health, Jason was a state Healthcare Associated Infections Epidemiologist for the Washington State Department of Health (2013-2016) and Arizona Department of Health Services (CSTE Fellow). His focus as an epidemiologist has been on quality and accuracy of infection surveillance and reporting. Jason is the recipient of the 2014 SHEA Epi-Project Competition award for young investigators in healthcare epidemiology. Prior to his MPH, he was a medical technologist laboratorian assisting in infectious disease diagnoses.

Jason received a Master of Public Health from Emory University (2011) while working with CDC’s Division of Tuberculosis Elimination. He received his Certification in Infection Control (CIC) in 2013. He is also currently a public health epidemiology PhD student at the University of Washington.
